And, I’ve spent 20 years teaching and thinking about writing, what keeps me from writing about it? My Immigrant Self would love to fill your ear, but because of a rumored sibilant S,  she’s stuck in a Speech class somewhere back in grade school and her mouth is full with the effort of excelling at the art of sucking lifesavers till they’re transparent.
